Can i drip acclimate with 2 gallons? I’m in the process of switching salt mixes and don’t want to change more than 10% of the water at a time. I drip acclimated before, just can’t remember how many gallons it takes

Thank you!If the fish is coming in a bag of water that’s less than 0.5gals worth then yes, pour them out with their water into a container or bucket small enough that the fish is upright in its original water, set up your drip and dump half the water out once it’s getting full, repeat this at least twice. You can also test the salinity, alk and pH of the bag water and compare it to yours, if it’s very close then you shouldn’t even need to drip acclimate, just temperature acclimate and introduce.
You need at least 2-3x the amount of water that the fish arrives in for a proper drip acclimation in my experience.
No worries!Thank you!
