How long will a brittle star last in a bag?

Just a quick one, long story short i bagged one from my tank to give my boss and he called me to say he forgot it. Just wondering if it'll make it the 16hrs or should I just take it back home and wait the 3 days until I spot it in the open again? He's taking a short day tomorrow and we've got hand warmers i can drop in and it's in an insulated bag.

How big is it? If its a mini (under 3”) it should be fine as long as it’s kept at 75-78f. Stars use very little oxygen. If its a big guy then I’d personally wait, but we have had shipments get lost in transit for almost 24hours before and the stars are almost always in good shape even being too cold.

They are extremely hardy little buggers. as long as the temperature doesn't dip too low, it should be fine!

All my brittle stars I got with my live rock, that was without water in a Styrofoam box covered with wet newspaper. Took 3 days from getting picked to be in my tank. Brittlestars survived just fine even without water

Gotcha, for reference here the bag the little feels is in. Just dropped a wrapped hand warmer in. Gonna swap it out before I leave tonight

Yep got the popcorn packaging stuff in there already. It's kinda chilly here so I added for extra insulating.
