Based off my current amount of money. It will be 1 of 3 dates. Till my tank crashes in a few months. Or till I go off to (3 ish year) collage OR through collage till I gotta move into my 79 c10 and live in a McDonald's parking lot.

I always thought I would have a fish tank as long as I am alive; I have always had a tank ever since I was 10. However, I had to take a break for over a year because of bad depression; I didn’t want the reef to suffer because of my inability to care for it. I am just getting back and starting from scratch.

Now, I try to be realistic and I will keep a tank as long as I can take care of it.

I stepped away for over a decade and have to say that something was definitely missing from my life so can’t see myself leaving anytime soon. In fact, I’m already dreaming up plans to sell my house to fit a bigger tank!

I hope to have a tank going till I can't keep up with the maintenance any longer. I hope that's a long time from now!

56 and retiring in 4 years. Just bought a im 200 ext to upgrade from my 120. The 200 is my retirement tank. I plan to do this until I die! When certain tasks get difficult my wife, kids and grandkids will help out because they all know how my my tank means to me!

Another 22 months :)

Thats when we're going to move out of this house of 25 years and go somewhere more relaxed.

It'll also be 50 years since I set up my first tank I have plenty of other hobbies crying out for time :)

Unless something expensive breaks first - that could hasten the shutdown ...

I’d like to keep a tank as long as possible but I have a feeling I’ll have to take a break when I retire and start traveling more. It stresses me out to leave my tank for over a week even though everything is automated.

If I'm being honest, once my current tank develops a leak, it will signal the end for me.

12 years ago, I paid $800 for a LeeMar 300g tank. Considering the current market prices for tanks of similar size, I'm disinclined to make such a purchase.

Plus, I no longer possess the same level of enthusiasm that I had when I first began. There's not much groundbreaking in the hobby anymore, I have witnessed trends come full circle, with what was once popular becoming fashionable once again.

another 30 years, then I'll be to old and need to start backing out of driveways looking forward, no time for reefing when old crazy driver syndrome kicks in.
