How is this even possible??

Hello all. I currently have just finished the two week copper treatment for ich, and was cleaning my tank and finding leftover shells from inverts that were hiding when I tried to take them out. To my surprise, this hermit crab was still completely alive and crawling around. The correct copper level is still very much in the tank, and he doesn’t seem bothered, while as I see, the other hidden inverts were killed by the copper. How is this possible? Is he just insanely lucky, or what?
