How do you deal with the moisture, salt creep, and mold in your sump?

The sump for the school tank is enclosed and I noticed it gets very damp and salt creep has no where to go so it gets sticky and moldy. It’s basically the perfect breeding ground for mold etc. since it’s dark and warm. How do you deal with this issue in your sumps? It’s enclosed in a public place so taking off the doors is not an option. Would a box of banking soda in the sump area help? What have you found to help because I know I can’t be the only one with this issue.

In the past I’ve put small computer sized fans in the side of my stand to pull out the moist air. I’m not sure if cutting a small hole in your stand is an option though.

I use PC fans to draw air out of the sump area. Good airflow can help balance humidity and keep temps closer to the outside. They are quiet and low energy draw. If you don’t want to open the doors I would try a few and replace them every 4-5 years.

I left a gap in the backing, about 4 inches along the whole top edge. it helps a ton, but now i also get creep on the wall behind the tank. Going to be a fun mess when i move it.
