You need to surgically remove it and have the resolve to make it gone without hoping on another indirect way of getting it out, that stuff has wrecked tanks. Be taking experiment rocks out, killing it externally and put back

i pulled 6 large rock pieces and threw em in bleach, coral and all... i might just bleach my entire tank.

these are nitrate killers and my sps wasn't colorful enough because of it. my nitrates kept showing 0 no matter how much i dosed.

i learned now to always quarantine...

I would not have done that at all. Did you search to find where we simply killed the red algae targeted, preserving all the rock portion not invaded

you can target rasp it off, externally like a dentist does to plaque. Place high percent peroxide targeted, on the clean zones it’s exactly like large animal tooth dentistry. Put rock back 99% in tact, target free. Start when invasion is small, right when everyone is telling you the uglies are natural

kudos for no hesitation. Overkill is better than stammering, you hammered it either way.

it is just on the top rocks. the other rocks are intact.

i've tried that peroxide. that works on the green one but not these tough purple ones. i also have it growing on the wall which is a killer. i hope it doesn't grow on the new rock either.
