I use mine for that glad to help if I can. Can you elaborate what your current issue is? I load it in the upper chamber

@boacvh how did you compact the carbon together so that it does not float all the way to the top and get out of the reactor ?

do you have any picture ?

I actually let it get to the top against the screen. Here is a pic of the top. The GAC rises and compresses against this screen

Alternatively you can also order these and put one above the GAC in any chamber, it will keep it in place

Curious - where did you get the plastic rod to go through the screen? My Nyos only came with one which is attached to the screen at the bottom of the media chamber and in the middle.

I'm trying to run rowaphos and rox 0.8, but only have the second screen that looks like it goes up at the top - but no plastic rod to hold it in place.

This reactor is great for carbon just buy the medium body it has a divider strainer,fill the bottom of the divider strainer all done ,this reactor is perfect for carbon or any big solid media .moved away from this reactor on gfo and bio pellets because it's messy on the gfo and doesn't work on biopellets at all for some reason.
