Got a nice red zooanthid I just added to my newer reef tank. I appear to have a coral attached to it that has green tips and another corals that looks kind of like a mushroom with a flat circular top with green tips. I also have some mini brittle star hitchhikers. Any tips or should I be concerned? Thank you in advance.

In my experience it seemed like you aggravate them they would split and multiply if your rock is removable pull it out get a dental tool or something sharp and manually remove it make sure you get the foot 100% or it will grow back

Thank you. I looked up palythoa and they look basically identical. Can they be connected to a rock with my zoas on it or should I try to move it to another rock?

both Zoa and palythoa can be toxic I wouldn’t mess with it…..

Are your zoas always closed up like they are in your photos?

No, I just added them in the tank today. They were closed for a while. Then started opening slowly. I think theyre still getting used to being in a new tank. And yeah, I was messing with them putting them in the tank and my hands felt a little funny after.
