Hey everyone,
I’ve been struggling with high pH that last 3 days after setting up my Reef Factory KH Keeper. I keep my alkalinity around 8.5-9.5….lights on at 11am, peak from 4-9pm and low light from 9-11pm. I run a controlled 5” ball of chaeto at night with fuge light on from 11pm-9am. I’m also dosing kalkwasser from my IceCap reactor. 4tsp of kalk mixed in RODI. I dose at the top of the hour 60ml/hr during lights on and 40ml/hr during lights out. On 8/18 my pH was 8.39 and as of 10am today, 8/21 im at 8.72 with dkh remaining stable this entire time. What would be causing this? And will my corals/fish be okay when it is this high? Also, just to be safe, I cross-checked with my Hanna tester and it read 8.6 when RF tester read 8.7pH.
