Shane, I had a mini heart attack every time I see pics of sticks you posted here hahaha... those are some of the most amazing coral colorations I've ever seen!
You have to consider the amount of post processing that it takes to get the photos to look like that.

It would be nice to see untouched photos before the final version. But that still doesn't matter because raw photos still don't capture the exact colors you see with the naked eye.

If it were me, I wouldn't chase corrections based on those photos. Just understand that you could take a photo of your corals and achieve similar results, if you knew how to do the post processing.

Snoop around the photography sub forum and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Galaxy s21 pro mode and orange filter is all you need for pics....no post processing involved.

Hi, I understand how much time and effort are being put into acquiring those kinda colors, whether it's related to photography or coral care. I wasn't going to tinker here and there based on those photos, I was just admiring it. It's just that I have a problem with the coloration of my corals and wanted to see other's opinions on what I'm experiencing. Thanks for your input!

@tbrown @billyocean @SBB Corals hey ive been away from the hobby for the last year and a half pretty much.are there any new breakthroughs in terms of nutrients and what nutrient levels everyone likes to keep for sps or has it stayed about the same.
I like to be anywhere from .05-.12ish p04. 15-30 no3. As long is it isn't bottomed out it's not a problem and it's Ok to be higher. Big range you can be successful in.

What is the dimensions on the lod tank and it looks like everything is on frag racks correct?!? What is the lighting schedule under those G4...Pro's? Also what is the height of the lights from water and what is your parameters & regimen of husbandry....those corals are colorful and brilliant! I am looking for what I am missing and the error of my ways.

was hoping a magic number was found
I think the magic number depends on all the dynamics of each individual system. Each one is different, so the ideal numbers will be as well. Mine settled in at 18 NO3 and O.18 PO4. I don’t do anything special and the numbers just stay there.

I mean..I can make a solution..send it to you for a nominal fee and slap directions on it...lol. jk.
Haha yeah that’s pretty much what I’m waiting for. After my nitrate solutions run out, I’ll look into basic ammonium, if it’s still not on the reef market. I don’t dose N03 often, it hangs naturally around 9-10 for me.

The countdown timer in the link seems to be set for 8am and not 8pm.
