Hi guys,
My new tank just got delivered and im doing a test fill but i had some questions about the overflow situation.
The tank has a herbie overflow, but i noticed the standpipe is only about 4 inch below the emergency drain. i read on here this should be atleast 6inch.
Problem is that for some reason they decided to glue all the standpipes into their bulkhead, but i can get to it if it would be beneficial (i did manage to get it running silent during testing, but it was a bit inconsistent)
I have plenty of extra capacity in the sump for the extra water it would drain.
They also plumbed my rollermat from the factory but they plumbed it with 2 90° elbows below the gate valve so there's a 12 inch horizontal run.
Would it be worth it to redo the drain with 2 45°'s to remove the horizontal run?
Thanks for the help!
