Hemmdog’s 90gal Seaciety and 40gal Vale of Shadows

Does anyone use Red Sea A & B reef energy? I just used it for the first time and it looks like someone cracked a glowstick in the 90. Just making sure that’s normal & wondering how long it takes to be clear again. Also wondering if it works in general lol.

Did you use the proper dosage? Sounds like 'vitamin B - riboflavin' - which fluoresces?

Got out of the hobby awhile in college but got back in my last 2 years with a 10g tiger barb tank. Then 35g red bellied piranha tank that was a huge conversation starter.. lol. After college got a 55g planted fw German blue ram and cardinal tetra tank. Started working at a public aquarium then; so I didn’t really want to do maintenance when I got home, so I got out of the hobby. Then 2 years ago got into reefing and started with a 32 biocube, 8 months later added a 90 gal, now I replaced the biocube with a 40b bare bottom reef! I’ve been hooked for life!

Still using my very first tank...5+ years! Although it’s had a couple makeovers and this year I removed the rim, added some bracing and drilled it so it feels like a new tank.

I used to use Reef Energy A & B. Yes, it looks like you cracked a glow stick in the water when you use it! ;Hilarious I found my corals responded positively to it when I was using it!

Yea I did the proper dosage. It’s a vitamin supplement so that could be possible. I’ll check exactly what’s in it. Good to know it works though! @LilElroyJetson

I used on my old tank for awhile. It's normal and should clear up pretty quickly. I never noticed a difference when using it except for slightly higher nutrients. Hopefully you see some good out of it!

I must be having a mini cycle or something on the 90; or it’s side effects of reef energy, but my tank is super cloudy this morning. I’ve checked everything, it all seems to be working properly. Hard to tell from pics but it looks bad.
