This new phone doesn’t take aquarium pics very well, it’s so frustrating. The polyp lab lens does nothing on it, I don’t understand why.

Lol thanks man. Got some headshots done for work by a good friend of mine who was visiting SF from PA. She is soon to be the next Annie Leibovitz!

But yea idk why I’m having so much trouble getting this phone to take pics in actinic. 11 max pro, supposably a world class phone for photography. Not for reefs;Dead

I do not know the phone, but it sounds almost like the camera is automatically trying to compensate if you are seeing little difference with the filter. Check the settings and see what you can control manually.

I haven’t been keeping that close of an eye on my parameters lately. I checked them on Wednesday and have slowly been correcting them. I was dancing with destruction but I was/am getting some great growth and coloration.
90gal
alk 11.8
Cal 500
Mag 1280
Nitrate Trace/zero
Phosphate 0.01
pH 8.3
Temp 78
Salinity 1.029

The two part must have increased the salinity, I’ve been removing a gallon of tank water a day and letting the ato fill it back up. I’m at 1.027 today, should be back to 1.026 by Sunday. I’ve also increased feeding and dosed 150ml of b-ionic mag. I was shocked at the test results, triple tested to be sure. Things usually have died for me with similar numbers in the past. The only difference is I have a higher pH now. Strange. Just figured I’d share.

Proceeded to transfer my hermit crabs once a little gha came up, nassarius snails once some diatoms appeared on the sand, and trochus once I got some diatoms on the rocks. Sure is convienient having a mature reef down the hall .

After a month of the tank running with just my clean up crew and Marlin I brought some more fish over.
