The Reefi UNOs are very powerful and have a wide spectrum. Your XR-15 are weak with a wide spectrum.

SPS don’t like shadowing. A small light source creates shadows. If you shine a flash light from the top of your tank, you get lots of shadows. So you would need lots of flashlights to minimize shadowing.

Ideally for acros, the bigger the light source, the better.

Since lots of UNOs or radions get expensive, most people suppliment with T5 or LED bars.

I’m running my UNOs really low, since I have so much suppliment lighting. I could switch my UNOs for radions and it wouldn’t matter much in my situation.

I guess my long winded point is you don’t have to get UNOs, just suppliment your Radions.

Do they have a comparable xr30 light?
What do you mean by comparable? The ReeFi UNO 2.0 Pro is actually stronger than (in terms of wattage/output) and has a much better spectrum than either of the Radions. You also have a choice of 90 degree and 120 degree spread with the ReeFi’s without having to purchas a separate reflector. They come with both. I personally run mine with 90deg reflectors and supplement with T5’s (2xB+ and 2xC+).

Hi Everyone,

I bought 2 ReeFi 2.1 uno lights and installed them. I also put one of the Radion XR 15 in the middle of the tank. The PAR at the middle depth of the tank is only about 140. I am not sure why. Any advice on how to setup these lights. I am likely doing something wrong. I have the ReeFi set using their template for SPS. This pic was taken at 11:34am so the lights were still coming on.

The template is good, just turn up the % at the bottom for each time period to hit the par you are going for.

You may need to move the Reefi more to the sides if you are getting higher par in the center.

I notice lighting a reef tank is easier to get even spread with more light fixtures and lowering the intensity.
