Hey all,

Just trying to get some assistance on using a single dosing head to connect to multiple waste lines including
-Skimmer Cup Drain
-Auto Water Change feed from sump
-On demand drain from external refugium

I’d seen in a video from Jake Adam’s he had 4 dosing heads fed in line from a single fresh water reservoir combined with 3 way connectors, so had me thinking if I could do the same for all my waste lines and feed them to a single drain line I have?

I have a bunch of 1/4” one way valves that I could also use to prevent any water going the wrong direction but wanted to ask here as I imagine I’m not the first to want to do this and can learn from the community.

I’m a little confused. I can see having multiple dosing heads empty into a single waste line, but not sure what you mean by having a single dosing head with multiple waste lines. Could you please clarify? Maybe a sketch would help.

using a single dosing head to connect to multiple waste lines

Feeding 3 pumps from a single reservoir is different than feeding a single pump from 3 separate reservoirs as you are trying to do. You will have not way to control which reservoir the pump draws from. The waste line with the least resistance is the one the pump will draw from.

Check valves will not help with this.

Using solenoid valves would work for a short while until the saltwater and skimmer gunk destroys them.
