This is the only place I think I can post this without my wife seeing my public question. I can’t fault her as I was out of town and she had to make a call.

Over the last 2 years we have a run of crappy pool people servicing our pool. We had to get a new person, who is a parent from another player from one of the teams our oldest plays on, so there is a connection.

Our pool was salt, the salt generator went out last year, or so we were told by two different companies. The price to replace this ( 4 years old) was 4 times what it cost previously. So, for the amount we use the pool, I couldn’t see spending that kind of cash (we likely will be ripping this out next year and putting some different in its place).

I noticed Friday evening they had put a ton of salt in my pool. We had them drain the pool and clean it and refill it. My wife tells me she told them that it would need to be a chlorine pool as the generator was bad and we weren’t going to do another one presently. There has to be some miscommunication somewhere. That’s a different story.

If they accidentally thought they were doing a salt pool and I don’t have a functioning system to support this, and should have been a standard chlorine based pool, what’s going to happen?

Are you talking about the gennie that charges the plates? Can you maybe take it to a repair shop. Gosh, like three years ago, COVID was a thing I was able to bring mine in and it was repaired.
