Hello,

I have 2 jecod/jebao SOW wavemakers & 2 jecod/jebao SLW wavemakers as you can see in the picture. I would like to use these to make as much random & chaotic flow as i can while not having zones that get alot of flow.

Currently my elegance coral is getting alot of flow for some reason & i can’t find out why.

Could people give their expertise on this please?

I love you all, thanks!

I added a video & a picture

the biggest thing I’ve learned recently is don’t use the actual power head as your source of direct flow but rather get it to bounce.
IE; try to aim them to bounce off the surface, glass, back and sand.

This will create up drafts, down drafts, etc.

Flow, in my personal opinion, is one of the hardest parts of this hobby when setting a new tank up lol.

Good luck!

Good stuff! I’m gonna try to angle my SLW’s toward the front & back panel & see what it does.

I also just noticed your using Jaebo, I do aswell, I would highly recommend watching some videos on the different settings and how they work.
Especially where you have 4 there a lot of trade off functions and such you can setup with a little bit of work IE; the C function will trade blowing and pushing between 2 or more pumps

The other advice I will give (which may sound redundant) when you make a movement and want to see what’s happening wait a good 5-10 minutes for the flow to actually change up and retrain in the tank before you make more adjustments, sometimes it takes a second for the new flow pattern to take effect with a larger volume of water.

Keep us updated!

So, i off-set the SLW towards the front & back panels & off-set the SOW both to the surface.

I have put the SLW in C-function and put it on a 2 second interval. It seems short but it gives the best results in this setup it seems.

I’m just gonna let the corals adjust to this for now & maybe tweek it more in the future.

Would still love some assistance on getting flow right...
I currently have both my SLW's on the back wall pushing water towards the front in a large cone.
& my SOW's on the left & right side of the tank pushing flow towards the back corner couple of inches beneath the surface.
For some reason my lower side of the tank is getting alot of flow & the right side of my tank is getting more flow than the left side...
