HELP, Maroon clownfish White patch?

I have a maroon clownfish I got a week ago, you can see a white spot above the anal fin, could this be the dust kicked up from the sand and such? I noticed a white film on the back of my tank, looks like dust almost, could he have rubbed it and got it on him ? Is this ICH?

It’s possible that the white spot on your maroon clownfish is just some dust or debris, especially since you’ve had the tank disturbed recently. If it looks more like a little bump or a film rather than just a smudge, though, it could be something like ich or another skin issue.
Ich usually shows up as tiny white dots all over the fish, rather than just one spot. If your clownfish is scratching against things or acting stressed—like breathing quickly or hiding more than usual—that could be a sign of ich or another problem. Keep an eye on that spot and how your fish is behaving. If it changes, or you notice other symptoms, it might be a good idea to reach out to a vet or an aquarium expert for advice. In the meantime, keeping your water clean and stable can really help prevent issues. In conclusion, it doesn't seem like ich to me.

Thank you so much for the fast reply and expertise. I’m new to saltwater so I don’t have a good background for fish diseases and parasites. I will keep my eye on her.

You’re welcome! Just a heads-up, I’m still pretty new to this hobby—only been at it for a year. That said, I’ve dealt with a clownfish that had ich before, so I hope my insights are helpful to you! Best luck to you and your clownfish. :)

P.S if it is ich, make sure to quarantine her! You don't want that nasty parasite spreading to other fish.

The spot is a rub mark likely from a rock or other blunt object and should heal; on its own however keep an eye on it for any soreness. If it become red or sore, treat in separate tank using Seachem Neoplex or Kanaplex

Do you mean the long, whitish patch on its right side, towards the back? There is also some white on its tail fin. That looks like a scrape/injury.

How long have you had this fish?
What other fish are in with it?

A tailspot blenny. I’ve had him about a week.

A tailspot blenny. I’ve had him about a week.

Watch the blenny, it's unlikely, but it could have gone after the clownfish.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else could have caused a scrape like that. Brooklynella is a common clownfish disease that causes white mucus, but not just on one side of a fish like that.
