My tanks been running since April 1st, it’s a 25g. I’ve got 2 Nero 5s on it running pretty low otherwise my clownfish gets throw around lol. Cuc consist of 2 astraea snails, 1 trochus snail, 3 nassarius snails, and an emerald crab. Currently I have just 1 clownfish fish and a nem. I have kept tanks before just never this small. I’ve got a radion xr gen 4 on there running 3pm-8pm. I cannot kick this algae that’s been growing. Parameters and pic of tank bellow. What kinda algae am I dealing with and how can I get rid of it?

Is it golden brown covering the rocks? I'm having difficulty differentiating shadow from brown. And do I see it on the sand?

Time to add your CUC

Almost there

One would hope one has green algae growing before adding your first test corals

The' spores' for that will come in on the CUC. Or add a piece of real live rock

I’ve already got some cuc that I mentioned in the post, what do you think would make good additions to what I have?

I looked at the pictures

You don't have enough CUC

Here is what I do. I go to Reefcleaners.org

Go to the CUC listing page

This kinda snail, $1
20 go into the cart

That kinda snail, $.50
40 go into the cart

Turbo snails, $3
3 go into the cart

That kinda hermit, $1
20 go into the cart

This kinda hermit, $3
Shop, none of those go into the cart

All the way down the list. I want a good mixture of all the cheap cleaners. I want a mix of small medium and large. Try to stay away from the ones that climb out of the tank

Then I go to the cart, and pare it down to $100

And always pick overnight shipping

Chitons and urchins will eat your coralline, they eat down to bare rock

Ps, everything is going to take a lot longer unless you add some real ocean live rock in there
