Get a good uv sterilizer.5 fish 1 snail 1 emerald crab 40 gal tank and this algae on the glass doesn't come of easy
Would it also help to replace alot of the water toI do see a powerhead in the tank, but I would suggest to add another on the opposite side. That is cyanobacteria, it normally affects newer tanks that have nutrient imbalance and low flow. Chemiclean will take care of that. Cyano is a bacteria, not an algae, and chemiclean is another bacteria so it won't harm the tank. More flow will help against the algae growing on the glass too.
Don't overfeed, rotting food feeds algae. Increase the clean up crew, one snail is not enough, you need a mixture of snails, and hermits will help too.
