I have introduce tangs with others. They can be territorial, however I bought a large critter cage from the local pet store and bored multiple holes in all sides and attached it to the inside of the tank when introducing a new fish. I let them stay in there for a week or more.
I have found it lets others get used to it and less bullying occurs. Plus its CHEAP. Just food for thought when introducing a new fish.
That is a great idea! I may try that

out of those three I'd say the kole tang. i love their colors and are perfect for that size tank.
if i was to recommend another tang though, i'd say look into the White Tail Bristletooth Tang. THAT would be my personal choice in your situation.
They are true beauties.

Just looked them up they look amazing! Have you ever kept one?

not that exact one, but they are in the bristletooth family. I've kept both the kole and currently the tomini. was going to buy a white tail before the tomini.....but as always out of stock and for good reason.

Another possibility if you can find one is a blue eye kole tang. I have one in my 90 with a foxface they pair up and swim together and stay in the same cave very interesting to watch, and he does not bother my lawnmower blenny, which is another plus.

I vote for the Tomini but love the Kole tangs as well.
I agree that the purple is a no go.
I just love the delicate coloring on the Tomini but they tend to be a lot harder to find and Koles are nice as well.

FWIW I had a purple tang in my 50 gallon cube 24"x 24" for years and it did fine and was super healthy until a dang synaptid worm nuked my whole tank.

I have a whitetail bristletooth. I love it, it's gorgeous deep red with yellow eyes and the white tail pops in the tank. It is friendly with the other inhabitants and a joy to watch. If you can get your hands on one, don't hesitate :)

Just some random pictures of them swimming together, very cool to see especially when the do a little swim dance around the tank when I put sea weed in. I also like the blue eyes very cool to look at.

I have a Kole tang. He is a great fish. He is active. He grazes on the rocks. And he is pretty peaceful.

The Kole tang is also good in a relatively small tank.

I've had both a kole tang and currently a tomini. I personally like the looks of the tomini better but he is also more aggressive than the kole was. Nothing crazy but he occasionally gives my tailspot blenny a hard time

I have a Powder Brown (added first), a Yellow and a Tomini in my 90. The Yellow and Tomini were added together after the PBT. All from a LFS and super healthy. When I added the two, there was a little dancing around with the PBT and the Yellow but that lasted all of five minutes. I make sure to keep plenty of Nori for them so there's no food aggression.
