Hello

I am new to saltwater and I could use some advice for my first tank

it is a 30 gallon and I am planning to stock it with
A yellow coris wrasse
A scissor tail dart fish
A pair of clownfish (ocelleraras, sorry my spelling is off)
A Midas blenny
A 2 spot bimaciles blenny
A tailspot blenny
And some type of Dottyback. ( royal gramma, orchid, striped, or indigo.)
And a carpenter flasher wrasse.
Would it work?
I also want an anemone for the clownfish
Which type would be good? Thanks

Drop the wrasses and the dottyback and you should have a nice community tank. Keep it to about 5 fish for your fish to have enough space each.
I’ve read that the coris would work
I’ll drop the flasher.
Could I keep a Dottyback of it was the royal gramma?

others did a great job addressing the question as it pertains to the fish. as for the anemone i would warn you to wait a year, or at the very least 6 months before you try. nems are finicky and will almost certainly perish in unestablished systems… i learnt it the hard way

How many fish you can have depends on the habitat you create and how much nutrients you can export.

For an extreme example if you have a 30 gallon tank with a 75 gallon fuge you can keep what you want barring aggression.

It's all relative to your system.

Final plan!

Scissor tail dart fish
2 ocelerris clownfish
Midas blenny
Two spot bimacules blenny
Tailspot blenny
Royal gramma

Any idea how to care for them?
create an aqua scape that can accommodate the fish and mimic their natural habitat (caves, overhangs, etc) helps them be more comfortable but also you’ve got quite a few jumpers in there so definitely be sure your lid fits on tight

I was planning 3-4 caves
What do you mean by overhangings?

You still should cut this list in half!
