Wait wait wait what are these custom reef vans you’re talking about? Like you just put a picture on there, or you’re drawing on them?

Also I voted for Reef Queen because, even though it’s been 12 years, the low brass player in me can’t vote for anything with the word reed in it. Yuck.

I just looked back through all the posts. We started dropping hints about getting patches late Wednesday night. So assuming for the moment that #revhtree tree has been busy Thursday, etc. doing Reverend duties and getting ready for Sunday he will likely catch up on personal things tonight and tomorrow so maybe we will hear from #revhtree soon. If not maybe #revsgirl could intervene on #footgals behalf ;);););Happy

@footgal are these the Vans you had in mind? 16024528925387421764935815255061.jpg
Well I sure feel old now. With everything else #footgal has going on I thought she was custom painting vans (vehicles) like we used to do in the olden days (70s and 80s). ;Facepalm

I'm totally old school. I'd freaking love a painted hippie van!

So how would one go about making custom vans? Order white vans then use fabric markers or sharpies or paint or what? I’m good at art and I think I can pull off doing it I’m just concerned with using the right medium so the design doesn’t fade/come off/bleed and look bad. The rad cakes store looks like they use markers of some kind because the lines are too clean and the work is too detailed for paint. They look really good but I can get pre made custom vans from vans for less, however if I make them myself they get even cheaper! Idk, has anyone done this before?

While I was on rad cakes I saw they sold patches and saw the ‘save the whales fund’ patch which then inspired me to go to Etsy because they were out of stock and long story short there are literally 25 beautiful reef related patches in my Etsy cart now for under $15 each and this reef letterman is gonna be AMAZING!

many shops actually have ‘custom patch for $X (usually under $15) ANY picture’ and I think that’s probably one of the best ways to go since it’s free shipping AND I could get anything I want. I know I definitely want a psychedelic mandarin, lionfish/lionfish hunter, eel (don’t care the species I think they’re all gorgeous, the dragon eel is my fav tho), and a cherub angel patch and I’m 99% sure I’m not gonna find any of those on regular websites!

If you can afford the premade custom Vans I would just do that. I think they will look better, and they will hold up longer than something done with markers.
