They could also be gray market which means it is legit however it is not meant to be sold in the states so basically if it breaks you are screwed because the warranty will not be any good.

Got My camera and it rocks but I think I need some practice. I have a lot to learn but Had to take it out of the box and take a few pics. This is my favorite one out of the first batch.

Thanks.
I really have no idea what I'm doing. I was reading the instruction book and it said something about taking "RAW" pics and then being able to play with them on my computer without hurting the resolution of the pic. I remember it saying something about being able to adjust the white balance after taking the pic if it was taken with the RAW setting. I'm sure there is a lot I will be able to do with this camera. I just need a little time to get there.

And a tripod I would probable help as well. I was holding the camera for that pic and I didn't turn off the pumps.

One more
My little WOW blue acro frag I got from Preston. It lost it's color from shipping I think I got it about two weeks ago. It's starting to look better and I think the blue is coming back.

One more before I go to sleep. I'm really looking forward to my macro lens the lens that came with it just can't get as close as I want it to.

Looks like you are getting the hang of it. Remember you can always crop an in focus image to get closer, but and out of focus one is always trash.

I think the focus is good but I'm just holding the camera and I can only hold it so still. The shutter speed is on the low side to get the pics in the aquarium so me moving even the slightest bit seems to really effect the outcome of the photo. I'm going to take some pics outside today and I might even go get a cheap tripod to play with this afternoon. I will post the results this afternoon or tonight.

Any advice is welcome

Get a tripod and use either the timer function on the camera or a shutter release.

A good tripod and shutter release are worth their weight in gold. I would have never believed it until I got both and it was the best money I have spent as far as photography gear is concerned.

I agree, a good tripod is important. I get by without the remote shutter by using the self timer, 10 sec version, the 2 second one is not long enough with a big lens.

I have my tripod now but the pics are not looking much better. I use the 2sec timer but I don't think I know enough about the other settings. And I don't think the lens that the camera came with is going to do what I want it to. I should be able to get a macro lens in a week or two. I'm hoping that will be more of what I'm looking for.

I was playing with different settings and the main lights went off. I could not get anything resembling a good pic under actinic only.

I was was playing with my tripod and my cat was watching so I thought she would be a good test subject. I'll post the pics in a bit.
