It’s been tricky to photograph this zoa because the lighting tricks my phone, but I think this photo shows the splatter pattern, green tendrils, and orange eye.

Any idea what type this is?

In dim light, the colors are very muted, except for the fluorescent yellow splashes.

Thanks for the help.

Star gazer zoa
Thank you!
The photos on Google show some very intense coloration - must be all under some heavy blue light or something. Or maybe my polyps are just not matured and fully colored up yet.
But the color pattern is correct - mystery solved!
Thanks again.

I was kidding...it doesn't matter what trade name someone made up out of nowhere for it, all that matters is that you enjoy it.
LOL - well, it matter a little to my 6 year old granddaughter who is trying learn the names of all the critters in the aquarium.

Thats cool but you do understand that she'll happily call it by any name you give it, right? You can make up a crazy name just like whatever other guy gave a similar looking one a specific name...i doubt your granddaughter is going to fact check you (as if there was a database for ridiculous trade names given to corals). Call it by any name that will put a smile on her face!

I Googled your suggestion, but the examples that come up don't have the splash... was there a specific example you thought looked like mine?
Z. sansibaricus is the species; it doesn’t always have the same coloration. Here is an example of Z. sansibaricus with a splash like yours.
