Hello,

My Gold Rim tang experienced the same before eventually dying, I do not want this to happen again. Hoping to ID and find ways to treat.

My blue tang is also swimming sporadic ally, and my regal angel seems off with signs of white spot.

I’m currently treating with medications to help with velvet, and I also used formalin a week ago. Looking to fresh water dip them tomorrow.

Surprisingly, my Moorish Idol is in pristine condition, hence why i’m confused as to why the tank mates conditions are worsening.

tank parameters:
Salinity: 1.024
Nitrate: 12ppm
Ammonia: 0-1ppm
Tank: 350L

I see two different issues going on here. The goldrim has severe ich. The purple tang has something else - see how the spots are concentrated in certain areas of the fish? Ich doesn't do that, it is always more random. The purple tang may be having a reaction to some irritant that is causing excess mucus. However, it is ALSO possible that the purple tang has some ich spots mixed in with the mucus spots!

You show the ammonia level as being "0-1". The trouble is 0 is good and 1 is fatal. Can your store test your water to get a more precise ammonia reading?

What medications are you treating with?

Can you post a short video of the fish?
