Also appears to be pink in coloration and the other one is like a deep purpleish color. So then they should be okay net to one another even tho they are different types of Xenia?

It looks nothing like the main colony.so I was confused as to how it got there. It’s more stringy and does not pulse. Like the main Colony.
Yes, there are several types of xenia. Theres regular pusling xenia, and there is this type. I have both, they are pretty similar.

xenia is chill , they don't sting or wage chemical war with others, they just smother everything with sheer quantity

Pic of main colony had to pull off rock and put in sand to get pic of the other type of Xenia growing under it lol smh who ever knew just one day bam new coral I didn’t add to the tank. Love this hobbie ;)
Also wanted to share some pics!! Hope you enjoy. Don’t be too harsh lol
