My banji Cardinal fish got too close the wave maker and lost half of its fin. Will this affect it negatively.
May affect swim and stability but should grow back as long as not infected or hemorraghing. Can you post a pic or two of fish, as its a weak fishh that iften ends up in a wavemaker

If it is the first dorsal fin, that happens with this species and shouldn't be an issue. Fin damage can sometimes become infected though. I might be able to tell more once you post pictures/video.
