Help! 13.5 gal at alk 15!!!

Just came back from a trip in the keys for two weeks and i Think my dad has been over dosing the tank bc the alk is 15. Is this an emergency and how Should I go about lowering it?

It’s not an emergency. Choices are do nothing, water changes with low alk mix (perhaps made especially low) or direct but very slow acid addition.

I’d just monitor for a few days to see how it declines on its own.
