Hello Everyone! I have been lurking for a little bit.
I am just getting back into the hobby after a rather long break. The short-form daughter found a turtle, and we ended up in the local fish store. I restarted the hobby to share with my kids.
Before the break, I had an aquarium from the 1980s to 2006 (where my reef crashed due to a move + Cat + water heater explosion and a GFI not tripping.) Fast forward 18 years, and I'm now on a voyage to build a new reef - that's totally energy-independent (Solar + Batteries Only), carbon "neutral," and educational for my kids (In short, article 1 for the divorce papers my wife will probably be throwing at me for how expensive this hobby has become.) Anyway, R2R seems to be the place to be these days, so here I am
