I usually buy a new coral every payday for $25 or so. Next payday, Mason will be my *payday coral.* I challenge every other coral collector to forgo their next piece and give it to this cause instead. This way your budget will never really miss it.

Payday's next Thursday... I'll PayPal then.

Anyone else doing this with me?

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time around. I bill my clients on the last day of every month. I receive payment the first week of every month. As soon as I get some money in the bank, I will do my part.

Thanks Rev for always thinking about those in need. My neice was one of those in need and people helped her out when she most needed it. This is how I repay, helping those who need it. I wish I had enough to pay for the surgery. I would do it in a heart beat.

I really don't like to burden you guys here, but if I don't let you donate and be a part that you could miss out on your blessing as well. It's not about giving to receive, but I do believe in, "if you give, you shall receive."

Trust me if I had the money there would have never been a thread.....

We are also raising money outside of R2R of course and when we hit the ark I will let you all know. Until then, ever little bit helps...

Just wanted to say our family has been that person of need in the past. I have been in the shoes of people that has had a hard time, the sole searching and the hardship and sorrow that is felt is beyond belief. I belief anytime that you can and are willing to help anybody I say do it because some day that you may be in the shoes of hardship or disaster yourself and it humbles you real fast and puts life back into perspective.

also wanted to say a GREAT BIG THANKS for this site and the dedication for people that take time out of there own lives to help others THANKS

Total now up to $650!!! WOOT!!

Hey maybe some of you know some people who have the ability financially to give to this cause and really make a big dent. I would love to raise at least $5000 here at R2R and I dint think it's an unattainable goal. is it high? Sure, but if we all give a little we can do it.
We always have over 200 people active each day not including the hundreds of lurkers, but if 200 people gave $25 each that would be $5k right there.

The trust is set up through a local bank and the church is a non-profit. We have been around as a church for over 25+ years so were not a fly by night organization. We just lack the funds at this time to take care of this whole bill ourselves. This is also a great way for someone that needs a nice tax write off to get that taken care of. We will provide a letter of charitable contribution to anyone for any amount that they give big or small.

Anybody know a business owner who needs a large writ off?

PS. the church will not see a dime. Al will go to towards the surgery, and travel expenses of Mason and his family.

rev stories like this break my heart i personaly wish i had $$ to donate however these times in MI are very hard and barely make ends meet

Well thanks to another generous donation we can up the total raised to $850!!! May not seem like much now, but it's growing and all of it counts towards the larger goal!
