I really missed having the beauty of a saltwater aquarium (and my favorite fish... the Niger Trigger) so after 10 years here I am again. Lots of things and equipment have changed so I did a lot of research and got the best equipment I can afford and an aquarium that would fit comfortably in my dining room area. I now have a 100 gallon reef with a Photon v48 pro lighting and a Triton sump v2 - 26 for a little over a year. I have gone thru the ugly stages of a beginner aquarium, it was tough but I just let the aquarium cycle out on its own and now everything I have put into the aquarium after it cycled is thriving beautifully. Patience... lots of patience - lol! My LPS, SPS, softies, Zoanthid, mushrooms and fish are doing great!
I am currently wanting to upgrade the wavemaker, it was a gift, from a basic constant flow to something more "marine like" but don't want to break the bank so I am still doing some research on what would be best for my aquarium.
Well I look forward to chatting with the group and learning more so I can make sure my aquarium stays healthy and continues to thrive.
