The

Ecsenius gravieri

It's been a bucketlist fish of mine for ages, but i've yet to actually see one available. I think i saw one available from a lfs like.. 15 years ago. Ive also seen ora listing it on their site, but they never seem to be available. Im just curious if anyone has a source for them?

If yoy own one. Whats their personality like? Im guessing bi color blenny like.

Yeah I’ve been looking for one as well. I didn’t get in touch with ORA and what I learned is that they need new broodstock and once they get new broodstock (didn’t give a time estimation) then they would start the breeding process for them again so who knows the real timeline sadly

They seem to be only collected at random on accident by fish collectors when they are attempting to catch Meiacanthus sp such as atrodorsalis and nigrolineatus. Such a great little species, I hope we can have some available in the hobby sooner rather than later. Dream nano blenny right there!

I’ve seen them at PetCo’s from time to time. Waldorf, MD Store had one two to
three weeks ago, tanks were full of Ich. La Plata Store had at least one, when they got all new tanks set up.

Have you seen them recently at the shops? I am in MD and willing to drive at least an hour for one of these blennies.

I will keep looking and let you know. They probably think I’m a stalker at the Waldorf PetCo LOL. I take my daughter to her job nearby. Have you asked the PetCo Fish Manager if they can get one in?
