Hi All,

Seeing how many of y'all use this tester and if it's worth it. I can have the ability to get one of these second hand. I have the APEX Trident so I have some of the tests it tests included but just seeing if might as well I should get this as it does them all.

Here is a link.

Thanks,

I don't use it, but I would if I had it. A single unit setup that does Alk, pH, Ca, NO3, PO4 is convenient. I'd get extra cuvettes and label one for each test parameter.

I bought the whole kit new as I only had a could test strip testers and wanted digital. It wasn’t much more than buying all the single Hanna ones and I really like it specially it links to your phone and saves the data so you can go back and see information. Mind you I’ve only been using it for a couple months but so far so good.

I've been using mine for a year now, and really like it. The only drawback I have found is that you can only be running one test at a time. I really prefer the wide mouth cuvettes over the small ones that come with the eggs. It is much easier to pour in the reagents packets.

Ive been using it for the last couple of months and found it pretty handy. The only draw back is the reagents, Nitrate HR and calcium. Both were un reliable with Nitrates ranging between 55 to 35ppm and everything in between. Hanna Australia replaced them for me but i had to insist that they look at the evidence i sent them showing the results of 10 test i did in a row. They will try and palm you off with ether its in the range of error or operator error. In the end the replacement they sent was as bad as the first lot that came with the Marine master. Ive since brought 3 packs of reagents with my new pack working fin. I would all so recommend swapping out the syringe's for medical grad ones with a solid piston injector. The ones Hanna supply have a dimple midway which when you suck in fluid with one hand, can make the piston plunger move left or right giving you an in accurate reading with the plunger not sitting evenly.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I dislike the syringes and don't use them. I bought a couple of adjustable micropipettes. One in a 0-1ml rang and another in a 0-5ml range. It makes measuring out the reagents and tank samples quick and repeatable.

I thought i was having a stroke using hanna 5ml syringe i was drawing up vastly different amounts each time. Emptying them out and starting again...Ha!.. Empty out start again ... what the heck. By the third and forth time i was loosing it. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
