Was wondering what the better option would be, if there is, between the two. Also wondering what the best placement would be for my setup. Either on the side walls (green) or both on the back wall (red).

You may need to see more specific powerheads in strategic locations when your corals start to grow. I have gyres on the ends and MP40s on the back. Works well for me.
