I have had a huge outbreak over the past week of this thick green algae that coats my snails and comes back after being wiped off. It is long and whispy. I have one turbo snail, two trochus snails, and 2 hermit crabs, but this seems to be more than they can keep up with. My phosphate level fluctuates between .05 to .11 on the last few readings with today's reading showing .05 on the Hanna checker. I have my lights on a timer of 8 hours and a refugium in the tank, but I can scale the lights back if need be. Any solutions of suggestions?

Looks like the start of the ugly phase. I would diversify you clean up crew more. Reefcleaners.org has a nice selection. Other than that manual removal during water changes by using a toothbrush at the end of the siphon. Where is your nitrate at?
