I just mounted mine where I wanted them the day I got them. Imo if they come from your same light source, may as well just get the clock started on them getting used to their forever home.

I'm with you. If they come in looking great then there is not much harm if any mounting them right out of the box. But I still like to be cautions.

I'll add a little of my own experince here. I have found, as long as they aren't getting absolutely blasted, the quicker you get them where they are going to be the better. The frags that are doing the best in my tank are the ones I didn't move every couple weeks "acclimating them to higher light levels". Again, this may just be my experince, but I feel it stresses the corals less to mount them within a week or two instead of giving them time to settle in just to be moved again.

You got to let me see what you got. Mine have held color from day 1 and even gained some. It's been about 6 weeks and love them.

I just got a small box. Tank isn't terribly big so I just asked for three. Got 5.

Honeycomb
Rr grape juice
Snipers blue
Poletti yellow tip
Forest fire digi

There are pics in my build here, in this thread recently and on panhandle.

Look like great ones.

Here are a few of mine. He threw in a nice Pink Milli frag on top of the 10 I bought.

Question for you battleboxers, when you place your sticks are you removing them completely from the plug if they aren't encrusted? Or are you placing the plug too? I've done it both ways but would like to place my new ones before they really start encrusting the plug.

So, if you would, please share your mounting process.

I do both ways. I think I ultimately like it better when I cut off the plug but I did not with this order because some of the frags were multi on the same plug.

That one is the Bleeding Tree I believe, although so far seems to be missing any color except green.

Thanks! I'm excited and hoping I can keep them looking this good!

Yep tree for sure. red will come i promise once you start to see some new captive growth,

I do both. If I leave it on the plug, I'll snip the stem unless I'm using it to stick in a hole. It may just be me, but I feel like I get better encrusting from ones removed from the plug completely. I've also wondered what Adam uses for glue due to the fact that it almost seems easier to cut the ceramic than get that stuff to come loose lol. I had a scare with one that missed the water tub I was clipping into and shot across my kitchen!

First shot was April 29 and second July 15.

Lol! I honestly was going to cut from the plug but I tried on one frag and the glue was so strong I just cut the posts off the plugs instead.
