I forgot to add that I did start silicate dosing. Probably even more of a reason why turning UV off after the blackout was more successful. That being said, I did confirm a large population percentage of Prorocentrum via microscope and my blackouts + UV were very effective at short term population reduction. As with any dino infestation I probably had more than one species, but almost all that I observed were Prorocentrum.

mdpitts, have you identified the strain you're dealing with? Seems like you know they're susceptible to UV, which is key.
