I seen a lot of dead snails I was wondering if my peppermint or pistol shrimp was the bad guy. I found a gorilla late last night and got him. It will be ok in sump right or toss it? I haven’t seen my pistol lately and wondering if the gorilla ate it.

It should be fine in the sump. Bear In mind though, that It will need to eat.

I second fine in the sump. There's a reason they're one of the most common bad hitchhikers in the hobby. They are TOUGH. As long as there's a bit to eat that makes it down there it'll survive easily in a sump. I'd keep it away from cords or equipment though as they have sharp claws that can damage those things.

I’m glad you caught him. Make sure you have intake strainers on any sump pumps if you are sumping him. Snails and crabs are good at blocking intakes otherwise.
