coffee first, crusso. coffee first.
then we have to take this dog for a run. he's under our feet all day long; knowing something big is about to happen.
If we run 'em 5 miles he tends to just lay on the floor and not move.
:D

Very cool as I believe that many people fail to excersise their dogs enough!

When you run him, do you also run or ride a bike alongside him? I ask because I'm a runner too...sort of... and take one of my our dogs too. The last few years I have taken the winters of because I have grown to loathe the cold weather. However, I laced the shoes up last last Sunday and fired the engines back up.

Can't you just get the dog a treadmill?

Have one but Luna is afraid of it. Big, bad Pitbull who is freightened of many things. However, we've had her going on four years now and she is much better than when I brought her home. She's a little bit of a paradox with the fears she encounters. i.e. - when we get strong winds she'll hide under the bed but if anyone ever came in uninvited she'd rip their throat out.

Good morning.
Bear read this, groaned and went back to bed upstairs.

The big crab is a collector. He took all my new frags under a big rock and made himself a nice apartment. So I got them back with some forceps. I can feel his little beady eyes glaring at me right now. He is planning something. I tried to grab him too but my manual dexterity was not sufficient.

She can’t do much about the wind, she can do plenty about the uninvited visitor. Sounds like she has it figured out - smart dog.

Mornin' all. Not a whole lot planned today. Gotta drop off some money for my daughter - if you have more than two kids then I'm sure you have that one that some how never seems to get their life quite in order for more than a few months at a time, even in their mid-30's. But we have 6 total so that's an 83% which is a B average and that's not half bad...always gotta look on the bright side, right?. Ah, the joys of parenting. :)

Well, dropped of the money, I'm poorer but a good dad...meaning I'm a soft touch. :)

Going to make up a batch of food today I think. Been a bit lazy and just dropping in mysis and pellets instead of making up a batch of cubes.

We run along side him.
We need the exercise just as much as he does.
Hes a labrodoodle so hes a working/sporting mix.
If we don't burn him out, at least, 3 times a week he gets a bit crazy.
When its too cold to lace up, we take him to doggy day care where hes known as the "wild one."
That helps, but, the weather has been so freakishly nice for March in NJ, we have no excuses to get out there and work him ourselves. We don't want a chubby dog; its so bad for their health and shortens their life span.
I'd do the treadmill idea, but, I hate feeling like a hamster and theres NO WAY the dog can stay focused that long to stay on it. When a cat runs by he's chasing it. :)

Hope everyone has gotten over the 1 hour self imposed jet lag. ;)

Man, I hear you loud and clear with running on a dreadmill. I've done it a couple of times, through the years, and hated every second of it.

Like you, we've had some decent temps here but rain too. As a matter of fact, it's supposed to rain all stinkin' week.

It won't be long and weather will no longer be a concern for you!
