What have you got there? That's on the list just looking for the right one ;)
Hey breakfast club, To QT or not to QT, that is my question. Im thinking of getting an expensive fish, and I will not have a warranty due to price is a third of what it normally is. Whats ya think

I would QT. You wouldn't want to loose the fish.

And that would be a rainbow bta!

I have never QTed anything. At this point after 12 years If something wiped out my tanks I would start over and hope for another twelve years.

I am not just saying that. The 75 was going to be an isolated QT system for the 240. I thought about it and the only reason I was even thinking about doing it was the stuff I saw on here. In the end I went with my own experience.

In other news the emperor angel has come out and the koran is ignoring him. It was tough to watch and lasted weeks. He just ate with all the other fish instead of me slipping some under the rock for him with my feeding tube. He is a tough smart little fish. I hope I have him a long time and he becomes a tough smart big fish.
I never know what to say. There is nothing special about me except I am willing to try and fail.
Bi-color, koran, emperor angels
Clown, Kole, yellow, sailfin, tomini, two spot tangs
9 chromis, foxface, Starry blenny, Snowflake eel, fuzzy lion, Niger trigger, lyretail anthias, file fish, pajama cardinals. Plus all the inverts, nems, shrimps, gorgs and a few coals.

None QTed. That's a lot of luck. Or it's something else we haven't figured out yet. If I had I would bottle it and be rich.

I put my money where my mouth is and filled a 240 with fish and ran it the same way as my 30 gallon cube and the tanks before it. I made a thread about it, running a big tank like a little one. My threads never get replies. I think I am on the bleeding edge. Paul is wonderful but I never did all the stuff he does because I dont have access to it. If I lived by the sea you couldn't hold me back. I would have a 1000 gallon tank filled with sea water and things I caught myself.

Tonight I am having a fine Chianti and some of this may have come from a bottle. I got it for the holidays but never had a good time to share it so I opened it tonight.

Instead of QT or no QT, is it possible to put the fish in an observation tank (without jumping straight to the quarantine protocol)?

Good morning all. Ned Kodo's for not letting this place cloud your judgment. All the hype and dramatics can easily do that,
