Good morning.
Went to the vet again last night. These people don't seem to actually like animals. Louie came out of the carrier and the vet tech snatched Louie like he was some feral cat and he went into full death cat windmill razorclaw mode. She had him by the nape of the neck and was waving him around but couldnt get her other hand near him while the claws and teeth were all out. He scared the crap out of them.

They got a blanket out but they couldn't get it around him either. He is now sure he doesnt like these people. I got upset but I am getting way better at keeping it down. I went over and picked him up. I held Louie and said the bump is right here. They kept telling me he will bite my face. I made eye contact with Louie and told him it's ok, we have to do this. I said it's fine. He wont bite me. They aspirated his bump with a syringe and it seems to be a cyst. He made one unhappy sound when they stuck him but didn't flinch.

Then she did the same thing to Zoe. She couldn't handle her either. Zoe escaped her headlock and looked at me. I told her to sit and be good. So she sat while they doctored her ear with no one holding her down in a wrestling hold.

Bear is now 97 pounds.

I need to go make some coffee and fix a ceiling.

When I had to take May to the E vet, they really upset me. She had climbed up in the cabinet, pulled down a pan and came down with it dislocating her shoulder. So here we are at the vet and they take that slippery scale, put an injured can who’s in pain in said scale and then as she almost fallow our die to not having grip, lack of them placing her right, pain and such, Rey comment “Not very graceful, is she!” And giggles. I was FUMING. Had she fallen the other way she would have been in the floor. My poor baby cat. Grant she was about ten at the time. So not a young spry thing.

Got back from vet...arranged a drop off, but they came out and asked if I could do an "in person" visit and stay since Tess is "aggressive with us because of the leash and surgery incident". So the leash incident...last year we dropped Tess off same vet and were told during her stay that she ate a leash. Now they made it right with us, everything to get her healthy was free including the surgery (and I'm not the suing kind anyway - dogs will eat stuff they're not supposed to - even though I would expect a vet office to be a bit more aware). Ok fine...I'm happy, mistake was made up for...I like my vet we'll move on. Then today...we can't keep her because she eats leashes?!? And you don't tell me I need to stay when I'm planning a drop off until I show up. Sigh.

Anyhow, I'm back and Tess checked out fine.

Zoe has the ability to bite something in half in a single motion. When bear was in obedience when got him a harness. It worked so well we got one for Zoe. She had it in 3 pieces before we got it on her the first time.
I had a nice leather leash on her when we went to the vet and forgot to remove it in the truck. It's in the truck still in 3 pieces.

Taking a rest. I have been up all the steps 6 times. Pooped out before I got the ladder up there. The carpet is cleaned. That blow in insulation is nasty stuff to spread around.

Luckily none of our animals ingest foreign objects. That can cause some nasty problems. Mia does eat toilet paper cores which she can remove while leaving the toilet paper on the holder. I never did figure out how she does that.

There is a thread on our most painful loss. I watched my mother, father and brother pass. Dogs and cats we had for 10-20 years that are in our kids high school graduation pics.
A fish will never come close. Not even if I manage to win the lottery and keep a whale shark.

I think it did say livestock loss. It was in the fish thread. I can’t imagine what that was like for you, though. It’s always hard losing loved ones, I’ve lost people in my life young and old. That’s why I try to remain grateful for every single day I have and be grateful for the people I meet along the way. Whether they are likable or not, there’s always something to learn from others ;Happy
