Still need to see the second one.
It's very good! It takes from the book more than the original one does, and theres a special cameo!Still need to see the second one.
Well the process has to be lined out. Currently we use 11 different systems to manage large scale deployments. It is a clustered mess lol. They are looking to utilize a single system to do all of the tasks. it will be fun for sure.Do like the Auto companies do. Hire someone to do do it, that way you can pass the blame and then blame the trades person for not fixing it fast enough. Then after 2 or 3 years of struggling Repeat the same mistake, and no I am NOT a
Postal Worker
I take offense to this lol (jk). I am upper management, but am not the typical you know what. They brought me in as the SME for how it has to go from birth to death. Thank goodness for that, as the 100+ PMs, 20+ PgMs and all of the other support team are at wits end lol. Most don't take the time for designing system architeture to fix problems and add enhancements. Or better yet companies don't want to take the time to talk with the employees using the system. Upper management just knows whats right.....
You are so correct. We are modifying an off the shelf ERP to be able to track large scale multi-site deployments. Not multi-site as in 100 sites, but 10000 sites across the world, all getting something upgraded, but not the same quantities of items at each site. Heck some sites do not even get certain services or have special requirements for programming and such. this will either be an awesome tool when done for the side of the IT industry I am in or this will be the death of others, as I value my life too much lol.3rd party off the shelf, especially ERP systems get expensive. $$$$$
Ha that is too good. I had a feeling you were mid to upper. Its a default included parties for those meetings. Not that it is an incorrect approach but if a system is not intuitive, you will almost always have processing and training issues.I take offense to this lol (jk). Our CEO has given me free reign, which is awesome. The people that will be using the system are familar with the ERP we plan to mod, so that makes the training aspect easier. The kicker is I have all of the leads of the team in the meetings with me. This goes all the way down to the project coordination/project admin teams. The best way to design and build something is to involve the people WHO ACTUALLY DO THE WORK. The little guy, as some put them, are the most valuable asset to getting something like this off the ground and running strong. it also helps the training portion run a lot smoother.Ha that is too good. The good morning thread is like @Katrina71 build thread. We never know where it will go lol. @WVNed and @Crabs McJones are the worst lol.@Eagle_Steve we hi jacked the thread. But you sound like you are handling it the right way. Good luck!!!
@krbshappy71 I am happy that I am a software engineer and like helping with other thing to break up the usual grind but my CIO reams me out if I do pc support or the network admins jobs.
You mean like the network administrator that used to call us to move IP phones to new locations in the building because someone got a new office?
PICNIC
The job was a picnic
problem in chair not in computer
Love it!
