The oven is completely dead. It passed away during a self clean so the door was locked. He finally gets it apart and is looking at the door locking mechanism with great wonderment. Hmmm no voltage. He is testing all over the control board. I mention to him that if the oven is dead it wont work or have voltage anywhere except the mains. I ask him to test the thermal fuse and he says it's ok so I walk away. An hour later he decides the thermal fuse is bad after all.
No I am not a wizard. I looked it up on Google. #1 most common reason a Maytag oven goes dead.
It's a 5 minute job to replace a $20 dollar part.
