On Christmas Eve, Nathan thought it would be nice to buy his wife a little gift for the next day. Always short of money, he thought long and hard about what that present might be. Unable to decide, Nathan entered a department store and in the cosmetics section he asked the girl, “How about some perfume?” She showed him a bottle costing $75. “Too expensive,” muttered Nathan. The young lady returned with a smaller bottle for $50. “Oh, dear,” Nathan groused. “Still far too much.” Growing rather annoyed at Nathan’s meanness, the salesgirl brought out a tiny $10 bottle and offered it to him. Nathan became really agitated. “What I mean,” he whined, “is I’d like to see something really cheap.” So the sales girl handed him a mirror.

the kids are coming up friday from kentucky, if the newest "storm of the century" doesn't get in the way.

bacon and salmon to be smoked.
and more salmon candy.

stay cool, warm, dry what ever is opposite of what you're getting slammed with by mother nature.

Sorry to hear about your kids. We have 8 people coming over for dinner on Christmas eve. I wish I could send a few of them to you. It's Florida "cold" here, but that's not what any of us would call cold. More like cool. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. We won't be above freezing for 3 days starting Friday, with single digit temperatures, which is very unusual for down south. I figured my RO/DI unit would probably produce 1 drop per hour with those temperatures, so I filled up both ATO reservoirs yesterday and also filled up my extra water jugs. It's probably time to fire up the generators, too. Today will hopefully be my last trip to the dreaded grocery store for a while!

Good morning. Woke up at 3 am and started thinking/stressing about the new bigger tank I ordered. “What am I doing?! Why do I do this to myself? Plumbing and transferring is going to be so much work!”

Getting snow tomorrow night 3 to 6”. Friday morning is going to be minus 5 degrees. Brrrrr!

True story - I once had a neighbor tell me that they needed to cover their plants to protect them from the freeze because it was supposed to go down to 40 degrees.
