Good morning. We are taking Paddy to meet the trainer this evening. He is having us trained so we dont embarrass him in public.
Good for you ! I wish more people were responsible pet owners. Just yesterday as I was walking I witnessed a lady with a dog and she did pick up after her dog but then throws the bag to the side of the trail. I yelled at her that she needs to pick that up but she ignored me and kept walking. :frowning-face:

Good Morning.
So yesterday my wife tells me we have to go to a dermatologist for a skin check. She is very worried about skin for some reason like many people here worry about ich.

So we go for this skin thing and the both of us go into this room together and are sitting there looking at the bad art on the wall. Then this tall blonde comes in and asks us to take our clothes off. I am thinking, Wow, this is getting interesting, but then she left with her clothes on. :confused-face:

My wife and I are sitting in the silly paper gowns that I doubt were designed by Tommy Hilfiger and in comes Doogie Howser. No really! this guy looked just like Doogie Howser and seem to be about 12.

A "Nurse" or assistant also came in. Not the tall blonde but she was very nice and seemed sterile with the goggles, gown, gloves and all that. I figured maybe she was going to check our skin on the inside maybe through an orifice or something. :confounded-face:

So my wife gets on the chair which raises her to this Doctors eye level which was about 3' from the floor and it flattens her out. He has a flashlight and is looking very closely at every pore. He may have been searching for velvet or uronema but didn't find any so his assistant put away the Coppersafe she was holding.

He did find something and said he was going to freeze it off so he shot it with this can of spray paint.

The rest of her was fine so they leave and tell me to get on the table.
When they come back I am sleeping but his assistant wakes me and says, It's my turn. I find this stupid as my skin is perfect and I should go on "Perfect Skin Monthly" magazine. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

So Dugie uses the flashlight on me and on the back of my arm finds this freckle that I am sure I was born with and says "OMG" this is a pre melanoma goma se yam. He needs to remove it and send it out for DNA or some other stupid test. Of course he does so he rips the thing off and gives it to his assistant who takes it in her double gloves hands with a face shield and Hazmat suit and puts it in a jar that she probably used to make her own frozen food for her lipstick tang.

Now Doogie continues to search my body and in the background I can hear that song, Your Body is a Wonderland".

He starts looking in my eyes. Then he gets closer to where his nose is right next to mine. I didn't know if I was supposed to kiss this guy or name my kids after him. He moves back and says again: "OMG" this looks like another thing I need to remove. I said, it is in my lower eyelid, just leave the thing along and go feed your fish.

He says, absolutely not, this needs to be removed. Now he takes this needle and pulls back my lower eyelid by holding my very long eyelashes.
"DON'T BLINK"! Yeah right, like that is gonna happen. He says are you allergic to anything? I said, Yes, "any kind of sharp thing near my eye". :anxious-face-with-sweat:

The assistant laughed but it was an evil laugh. Then he plunged this horrible thing into my eyelid and removed the freckle which I am sure everybody has but no one goes to Doogie to remove. Now I have to wait for the results of the biopsy but before he let us leave he gave me a bottle of Prizapro with instructions to pour this into my eye 3 times a day and once every time I peer into my fish tank at night with a flashlight. :confused-face:

I really hate to get my skin checked because now, at home, I have to wash off all these checks. :confounded-face:

Good morning. Got a busy day today. Pest control people coming to inspect the attic and give quote to remove the squirrels. Then a doggie client coming. Then a door replacement guy coming to measure and order new slider for our walk out basement door. Old one is rotten out on the bottom.

Good morning. The dog trainer visit was a success. The puppy classes start in January. It was a lot of fun and Paddy is easy. I don't guess it would be fun if he was a hand full. He got tired and went to sleep while we were talking. 12 dogs at most are in a class. The lady seems very good. She showed us some things with her own dog. OOh look BALL.
Paddy is big but still has puppy mannerisms. At least he doesnt pee himself when scared.

The hospital called with more questions about my care after my hip replacement. I said no, it's my knee being replaced. On the last visit my left knee was discussed. I said no, right knee.
I hope I don't have 2 left feet or one pointing backwards on Monday night.

We got a quote on the same thing this week...$3500. :grimacing-face: I hope your quote was better than mine! We're getting another estimate...or two.

Good morning. My six-line wrasse has gone MIA for a few days, so I fear the worst. :( I checked behind the tank with a flashlight and also checked the corner overflow. I have a canopy, but there is a slight opening in the back. No fish on the floor or in the overflow. I didn't have the wrasse very long, maybe a few years? Maybe it's typical of the wrasse species. I don't know. I hate fish losses...well, most of them! Enjoy your day. :)

Seeing your quote makes me think we got a good deal. I guess it is determined by how many points of entry they need to fix too. And consider we have a large house (7000 sq ft) I guess it’s is not too bad. Our Quote is $3420. The biggest cost is putting wire basket things over our 22 plastic roof vents where they are getting in. This cost includes fixing all the holes and put in one door trap for squirrels to go out and then can’t get back in. Then come back and repair the hole when removing the door trap when squirrels are gone.
The other quote we got was double this amount. And another quote was cheaper but just live trapped , removed, but didn’t fix any holes. Well that doesn’t solve out problem!! So we will be going with this company.

Sorry for your loss

Thanks on the fish loss.

I will tell my husband your quote! We definitely need to call around. We have a bunch of entry points, too, and we don't have any active squirrels at the moment. We just want to prevent them from moving into our attic again this winter...and bringing their friends! My neighbor had a similar problem and her quotes were all over the map, it seems like up to $10,000! We're going to find out who she ultimately went with. It sounds like your quote is reasonable. I'll let you know how ours turns out.

We did have to pay a $150 inspection fee too. And they gave us quotes on other “add on items). Like raking /cleaning up the insulation so you could not tell you ever had a rodent problem incase you sell your house. Or in our case because of all the peaks and valleys we have, would have to just add more insulation on top to cover up all the tunnels and would not be able to just rake it. That was another 5k. We are not doing that or any other add on’s. We always get at least 3 quotes.

Yep they sure can! We started hearing noises in our ceiling and walls. They bring their food in to store too. And build tunnels in the insulation and can tear up things. Just one picture of the many tunnels thur out of attic. The pest control guy said there are tunnels everywhere and we probably have 4 or 5 squirrels living up there.

My husband never believed it either until we found a walnut in the attic
