The fish are staring at me with hungry eyes.
Good morning
Kirk and Jane got back. The twins were a real tornado after being in the car so much. Jasper ran around and around the kitchen island. Abigale was Mommy hold me, Grandma hold me, Mommy, Grandma, Mommy.
Chewy has been really good until he started making the male hippopotamus fighting sound to see who is dominant in the river and chomped my arm last night. 3 fingers in my right hand went numb for a while. He is the biggest hippo now. His playmate is not here anymore.
Kirk told me they went to a wedding with 2 brides. He brought home interesting things to eat the mothers had made like a garlic bagel. The smell of it would knock you down first thing in the morning and keep everyone away all day after you ate it. Also a piece of lemon lavender pie. I have never heard of lavender being used in food.
I asked Kirk about going to a double wedding because we have never been to one. The 2 brides got married to each other. A Lesbian Mexican architect who lives in Michigan now married one of Janes school friends. Kirk agreed with me that there is probably a better vocabulary to describe this event more clearly but he doesn't know it either. I am sad to say our culture in West Virginia is so stale I would never meet anyone like that here. We do know a gay Filipino pharmacy technician. Jeanna defeated him in a cartwheeling competition while waiting to eat at Red Lobster once.
That was a long tome ago. I doubt either of them could do a cartwheel now.
Earnest has never even eaten Mexican food before. So we took him to Rio Grande, a nice restaurant near where we live and one of our favorite places to eat for over 25 years. He said it was very good. I ordered for him and he stuffed the chips and salsa into his mouth while complaining he wouldn't finish his dinner. I told him he didn't have to. He has always had a lot of rules, but I don't.
He had never had Subway before either. We fixed that too. Chinese food is probably not going to happen. He says he doesn't like it because it is all chopped up into small pieces so so someone has touched all of it. I told him it was all cooked but everyone has some things they don't like that they never get over. I am still thinking on this.
Our oven is broke. I need to go see what I can do about that. Put a new one in for $3000 or put a new control board in the old one for $156. Not sure I can get my hands on either yet. This new country we live in sucks.
Can you tell I changed my medicine up again a bit. Over the rest of my life the process of slipping away will continue and I will have to catch it and fix it. When you do at first it's too much for a while and then just right and then not enough again. Until it cant be fixed anymore.
Louie has caught and killed a roll of paper towels again. I guess I will go clean that up.

Oven is apart with parts all over the cooktop. So salmon on the grill with corn on the cob in the microwave and jasmine rice in the Instapot.
It was very good. Earnest suggested we have salmon on cedar planks he has made at home. That's what we made.

The fish are staring at me with hungry eyes.
Good morning. New oven is coming and old one is sitting on a furniture dolly in the kitchen ready to be taken away. It does everything but give you a suntan while cooking. It was the only one we could find that fit in the cabinet. You would think all wall ovens would be the same size.
85 with thunder Thunder THUNDER CATS HO. Well probably just thunder storms today.
Earnest was bored and a bit restless so we started restoring a bench that was left here in the yard rotting. The cast iron parts are very nice. There is another one to do too. The wood fairy just cut the last piece for us. He is starting physical therapy. There is no reason to let him sit and rot. He will need better skills to play with a puppy. After 40 years of jokes about dead cats guess who plays with Louie and laughs. Quality of life is important to me.
We put a deposit on a puppy. We get second pick of the male puppies. They should be ready the 3rd week of July. Now on to picking a name. Jill likes Bruno. Jill - it means brown, come on don't name the dog brown. Ick. I find it difficult to name someone I haven't met. Dealing with breeders is like paying someone to let you kidnap their children.
I think I like the name Kaiser Jillshund Von Hurrikan. That means Jill's best dog in Hurricane or something like that.
Very loosely translated. We will call it Kai. Or Bruno. I don't always win.
