Last June we were faced with a horrible car accident involving our daughter. We ended up taking over care of our grand daughter. Many people have asked/questioned us about doing it as we are not young. I always say that I don't understand the question and they look at me funny. I explain, she needs someone to care for her, where's the question, family is family, period. Thank you Ned and your wife for stepping up.
I got enough things to run.
Yes, many many things haver been forgotten. But not by me.

The funny part is there is no one more amazed than Earnest
I asked him if he ever thought he would be dried off after a shower by a old fat Italian guy.

Funny how the biggest problems in life can be quickly shrunk to nothing.
We are talking about fixing some bad boards in the deck now. He is a carpenter and knows stuff I don't. A new screen in the sliding door. Bear poked it out with the giant black nose.
I will let him help me.

He by default doesn't like cats. He poked Louie with his cane to get him to move. Louie decided they were playing and goes after the cane tip every time Earnest walks by now. Earnest laughs.

@WVNed, I hope everything works out with Earnest. My mother just turned 90 last week. My brother lives in the house with her in FL. She would HATE to be in any type of nursing facility. She has been in the same house since 1975 and plans to stay there. My brother does a great job of managing her care and she is happy to have him there. I know you and Jill will do a great job, too!

Good morning
Ned's Home for infirm animals and elderly humans is open. Free coffee in the kitchen.
The new tank has a low pitched gurgle. It is coming from the pipes pushing air to the other room. I cant decide if I need to try to get rid of it or not. Maybe someday.

My first walk on the beach this season. I didn't want to wait for sunrise. It is 176 steps down and up to the beach :anguished-face:

IMG_5235.JPG

If I would have waited a little while, it would look like this: (from last year)

This is the same beach in the opposite direction.

I sat on a bench there for a few minutes and I think that is the quietest, most peaceful place I have ever been. Not a single sound. It was so quiet that I could hear a seagull burp from 100 yards away.

2 miles down this beach there are 5 WW1 ships stranded on the sand. I posted pictures last year and they are on here someplace but I just found out they are that old.

At very low tide, like yesterday the huge propellers are out of the water and are probably bronze.
Bronze is a mixture of copper so maybe that is why I don't see ich on any of the fish here or because I use water from here, I also have no ich in my tank? :face-with-rolling-eyes:

One hundred years ago everyone owned a horse and only the rich had cars. Today everyone has cars and only the rich own horses. The s-tables have turned

Good Morning. I am off to the beach this morning then to the dentist to argue about a bill for my wife.
Then to the library. I think they want to display some of my steam punk stuff in their entranceway. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

My wife's dentist sent her to another dentist for a second opinion on an implant. The second guy charged me $300.00 for his opinion.

First of all I think the first dentist should pay that $300.00 if he needed another opinion and I think before I pay the second guy the $300.00 I will also get a second opinion.

I was an electrician and if another electrician sent me someone for my opinion I doubt I would say to him: Well the first guy was wrong, give me $300.00 :face-with-rolling-eyes:

Good Morning! the third day of open windows and inside temp currently 80 deg. outside 65 deg.; well ok due to overnight expected rain i had shut the downstairs windows where the thermostat is, so it should be cooling somewhat now that the windows down here are open probably in time for the rain to arrive and humidify everything.
my DiL is in the hospital and i am on stand by to become a first-time Grandpa today. i am soooo excited. i just fed the fish and they are acting like i feel! lol

Could someone tell me when the world became a place full of toxins and parasites.
These are 2 words very frequently used on this forum. Outside of when the dog needs wormed or someone gets shots in their face (botulinum, botox) I seldom use them myself.
Are these the modern version of evil spirits?
Perhaps we should suggest a bit of salt can cure many new tank issues.
It's on the net
7. Salt each corner and threshold of your home
day-of-the-dead-204540_960_720.jpg

Salt is another substance known for warding off evil spirits and cleansing spaces. From the Buddhists to the Pagans to the Native Americans and the Catholics, it has been used in spiritual ceremonies and rituals for centuries. Salt also has major health benefits, including healing wounds, detoxifying the body, and easing sore throats.
Try sprinkling a little salt in the corners of your home and across your door thresholds, after you’ve cleansed your space, in order to prevent negativity from returning.

What a waste of time learning all that sciency stuff.
Perhaps an appointment with my therapist for some cupping and dry needling.
