Good morning. Couldn't fall asleep until 3am last night, so I turned off my alarm this morning to get a little extra time in bed. I woke up at 11:00. Way more extra time than I wanted! When you get up and your wife is making her lunch, you know you slept too late. Oh well. :)

The lighthouse pictures are great!! I need to visit every single one of them. ;Happy Here's one more. I could probably put up 100 or so lighthouse pictures, but I'll refrain myself! We were making the Cape Cod lighthouse rounds and I was standing in front of this one, taking my usual pictures. All of a sudden it hit me that I was standing in front of the lighthouse on the Cape Cod Potato Chips bag (and I like potato chips)! ;Joyful

One of my dearest friends here on the Cape designed the logo on the chips =)

Good morning! Off to have my eyeball lasered this morning. Can't wait. About the time I'm done with that, it will feel like I'm in OOOOOOOklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. Gusts up to 55 mph?? Seriously?? Anyway, have a great day!

Remember, today is National Viet Nam War Veterans Day

Helocopters.jpg
But, but Vietnam wasn't a war? Least thats what they taught in school in the 80's. It was a police action. I jest of course.

Either way,
A big THANK YOU to any vet for protecting our right to freedom!

As a side note....
I find it interesting that mt spell checker doesn't know the word "taught".

Anyways,
GOOD MORNING ALL!

Taking a 3 hour road trip to pick up a second hand 8 bulb ATI sunpower today. Sorry I'm old school, and since I hate the heat of metal halides, T5's work just great without the expense of all those LED panels I would need.

Fire and pointy sticks were mans first tools allowing us to survive in almost any environment.
Both are illegal now in most places.
I hear ya there!

They are trying to pass a bill right now in NY that outlaws fireplaces, wood stoves, and outside fires. Apparently burning wood contributes to green house gasses. 75% of upstate NY heats their homes with wood, including myself, and 100% of the campgrounds around here have burn pits.

Yesterday I did a lot of cooking. I had plenty of clams left over from the Linguine and clams a couple of days ago that I made for good neighbors, so I made a gallon of Manhattan clam chowder.

(yes, many of my meals revolve around clams)

I also made 2 loaves of rosemary, olive oil Italian bread and one of my wife;s favorites, Broccoli rabe with shrimp.

That is another Italian peasant dish and since I am a peasant I eat a lot of it. :p

It took me quite a while to find American shrimp as most of it comes from Asia including India and I can't give that to my family. :)

Good Morning Reefies

we been missing some regulars here. :(
hope all is well with them.

climate change.... cut up the trees and grass lands, fill in the marshes and swamp land (heat dispersers)
build rock, steel and glass buildings. pour black roads (heat retainers) :thinking-face:

i'm no scientist, but i did sleep at a holiday inn last night.

ice storm here over night. high winds currently.
in years past, before i spent all the money on the whole house generator, an ice/wind event was a guaranteed power outage.

have a great.....
