Good morning! We went out for breakfast this morning...in the rain. It was very good and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Nice start to the day. :)

I have a 2-hour webinar tomorrow, which is the perfect time for "working" tank maintenance. ;) Put it on speakerphone and wiggle the mouse every once in a while. Multitasking at its finest.

Have a great Sunday! ;Joyful

ReefGrammie we also came back from a great restaurant. It is brand new and right on the water. It is owned by a guy who used to own a place we went to every week for breakfast but went out of business due to Covid.

This place is basically a sea food place and they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am so happy I found it and it is 10 minutes from my house.

We are on an Island surrounded by water but there are almost no places like that , on the water open in the winter. :D

I never left. They had a computer in the operating room where they did my surgery and they let me go on it while they were operating. The anesthesiologist let me keep one eye open and didn't numb my other arm so I could type. :D

It was fun. ;Smuggrin

Good morning. Been a few days. I’ve been busy breaking up empty wine and other colored booze bottles. I got a rock tumbler and am trying my hand at making my own sea glass.

@Paul B that’s a lot of surgeries! PT did help me a lot.

The raccoons (or whatever it is) were at it again last night. Bent the pole right over.

was in Arlington Friday night to this morning big signs "Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Underway" on the interstate leading to Washington. Capitol policeman that i talked to said they were going to start inspecting every semi heading that way and turn them around if they don't have loads heading to the District. Huh! enjoy the rest of the day.

The feeders are a little close to trees but not right up against any. More like brush then trees. I usually cut it all back in spring. And my husband doesn’t want them out in the yard so he doesn’t have to mow are them or make the mess in the yard.

Good morning all! The bluebirds were busy nest building in one of my bluebird houses this weekend. :) The sun is out after a lot of rain this weekend. My next Caribbean cruise is just 364 days away! :D

Do any of you use an underwater camera? I'm not sure I want a GoPro, but I don't know what else to buy. Keep in mind that I'm not the most coordinated person and it will need a very good strap...it's all I can do to manage fins, snorkel, mask...

Good morning. I took a walk this morning like I always do and saw, for the third time a Bobcat.

Bobcats are not rare or unusual but they are not supposed to live here on Long Island and haven't been here since way before nancy Pelosi was born.

They would either have to swim the 25 miles from Connecticut or take the Long Island Railroad which I doubt they could afford a daily, one way pass to ride.

I looked the thing up and it is a Lynx Rufus. It looks like a very big, beefy, hairy house cat about the size of a medium size dog.

I don't think the thing could eat me or anything even though I walk there in pitch black but there are some little kids that wait for the school bus there so I was a little concerned and called the
Dept of Environmental Conservation.

It wasn't easy finding an extension to go on because they have things like: hunting licenses, fishing licenses, fresh water fishing licenses, salt water fishing licenses, oyster licenses, clam licenses, muscle licenses, deer licenses, drive on beach licenses, park on beach licenses, look at beach licenses, bird hunting licenses, duck hunting licenses, beaver trapping licenses,

(there was one sighting of a beaver in the last 100 years on Long Island so we may as well shoot it)

Kelp harvesting licenses, amphipod collecting licenses, Licenses to look at Supermodels and licenses to get the phone number to find out where to get a license.

I first went on their web site and filled out a form but had to call it a beaver because these things don't live here so there is no category for them. I would imagine I could have put in penguin but that also wouldn't seem close.
